Here in 5A we have had a fun term. We enjoyed our swimming lessons and all of us have made progress, which made Miss Thomas really proud.
We have started taking responsibility to improve our work, we ask Miss Gibb for targets so that we can get better and some of us have even requested homework so that we can always be working at our best.
We have learnt about The Middle Ages. The Black Death was our favourite part as we made boils out of doughnuts (and even ate them afterwards). We made our own shields from The Battle of Hastings using cardboard and Modroc.
In music we have been making our own songs on the laptops. We have experimented with tempo, beats, vocals and introducing pauses. We like listening to each other’s music and seeing what they have produced too.
Next term we are looking forward to going to the zoo as our reward trip. We have all picked our favourite animals there, so that we can spend a little bit more time watching and learning about them. We have also enjoyed our Food Technology lessons with Mr Moody and we are looking forward to cooking and trying new foods next term
We have all progressed both academically and personally since September. Miss Gibb and Mrs Borrer are so proud of us and can’t wait to see what exciting things we can do in our last term as Year Five.
